This is a very good cam, i have it hooked up to my 60 plasma when i skype people its the best
Or is it a handle. It neither rests on it nor hangs from it. Since Apple no longer makes its most excellent (but overpriced) iSight Firewire camera, this is the next best thing. It is impossible to use it to attach the camera to a modern flat panel monitor. I removed mine and simply drape the QuickCam over the monitor by using the USB cable. I simply plugged mine in and began using it in less than a minute. The color and exposure are excellent. The downside is the badly designed mounting bracket.
Does everything it is advertised to do. I was up and running in 10 minutes. Clear and precise image. This video cam is very good. Easy to install.
Video isn't the greatest compared to the other computer I have, but I know it's due to the laptop limitations rather than the webcam. Use it for Skype. I've already recommended this to others within my family. I ordered this for an older Mac laptop and it works just fine. There were no compatibility issues and setting it up was easy.
In my estimation, images on the Logitech are three to four time clearer than those on the Mcally. The Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac is far superior to the Macally IceCam2 Webcam. (I have two Mcally Icecam2 units). Truly "plug & play," with excellent results. To me, the approximately $70 difference is well worth the additional cost. I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this webcam because of some reports about questionable performance on older, "lower horsepower" Macs. even on an older Mac iBook G4 notebook, 1.42 GHz, with 1 GB DDR SDRAM, running Tiger OS 10.4.11, using Skype. but I was pleasantly surprised when it worked flawlessly on mine.
